Important dates

  • February 3: Voting begins. Vote-by-mail ballots are sent out on this date.
  • February 18: Deadline to register to vote
  • February 25: Deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot
  • March 3: Election day. Send or drop off vote-by-mail ballots by this date.
  • From Feb 3 to March 3, except for Feb 17 (Presidents’ Day): City Hall is open for in-person voting. Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm, Election Day 7am to 8pm. See https://sfelections.sfgov.org/vote-voting-center for more details.

  • Checking your voter registration
  • Finding your nearest polling station
  • Requesting a mail-in ballot
  • Requesting a Democratic crossover ballot to vote in the Democratic Primaries (presidential, congressional) as a no-party-preference (NPP, independent) voter.
